Hello, I am trying to download a torrent and have successfully clicked on it and it has popped up in BitTorrent as a new torrent. It asks me for a label and I have the option to check add to top of queue, start torrent and skip harsh check. For the 'Do not count slow torrents in these limits' I have just enabled that option just now. So I'll follow up with the results. The weird thing is that yesterday my torrents suddenly started downloading again and I'm not sure why.

To fix Utorrent not downloading problem, you need a radical solution which is changing from using Utorrent to Vuze program. Honestly i faced this problem in 2014 and i tried almost all the solutions but none of them worked for me. The torrent file is not the content; instead, it leads you to the file that you want to download. A quick online search can point you in the right direction about where to find torrent files. You can open a torrent file but it is just multiple lines with directions. Mar 17, 2015 Typically it is hard for ISP or a router to block ALL torrent data so that is unlikely. You are probably trying to download to a location that is full or not currently mounted. Check all of your.
I am using transmission-daemon and controlling it through the webgui.
Currently I have two torrents from separate trackers that are on 0B of OB status. I am using transmission. On one torrent at last announce it says 'got 50 peers' the other 'got 48 peers.'
port 51413 is listed as open
I have changed the ownership of the download folder to debian-transmission Yoshi games to play for free.
Any ideas? I'm fresh out of troubleshooting steps.

In my case, it was also helpful to change the setting of the random port picking option to true. In transmission, you do it by following these instructions:
Edit → Preferences → Network Tab → Tick the first box

I switched to port 57558 and it now functions. I'm not sure if this is a long-term solution, but in any case shows that this is network issue and not something related to transmission. Thanks everyone for their help.

I've changed the setting
peer-port-random-on-start
from false
to true
. That did the trick for me(transmission-daemon).Timon de GrootTimon de Groot
I was facing the same issue. Changed the peer-port-random-on-start to true as suggested. Still was unable to download. Checked on some of the other forums & found a tool called 'deluge'. Installed it on my Ubuntu 16.10 machine & the downloads are working fine now. Wonder what was the issue with transmission.
Below is the link to install deluge on Ubuntu 16.10 :

I have AT&T at home and I was messing around with my router. I have always had the NetBIOS protocol turn off, but I had disabled the All Other Protocols option on my system. It appears that Transmission used one of the vague protocols with my router. As soon as I re-enabled it, I was able to get Transmission to work for me.

I had the problem. The cause was the client being unauthorized.
To solve the issue, I changed the settings:
- Stop daemon:
sudo service transmission-daemon stop
- Edit the settings:
sudo vim /etc/transmission-daemon/settings.json
(replace vim with your favourite text editor) - Unrequire authentication: 'rpc-authentication-required': false
- Whitelist localhost: 'rpc-whitelist': '127.0.0.1'
- Restart daemon:
sudo service transmission-daemon start
And now it works. If you suffered from this issue, it's possible that download-dir changed as well. so I suggest you check that option too and change it to your desire:
'download-dir': '/var/lib/transmission-daemon/Downloads'

I'm currently trying to download AN UNNAMED TORRENT. I WILL MAKE NO REMOTE REFERENCE TO WHAT THIS TORRENT COULD POSSIBLY BE, SO THE MODS WON'T REMOVE MY POST FOR A THIRD TIME.
I started off using Vuze. Vuze says it's connected to 1/1 seeds and 2/4 peers.
Then I tried uTorrent, which says it's connected to 0/3 seeds and 1/4 peers.
Then I tried qBittorent, which says it's connected to 0/2 seeds and 2/41 peers.

Drivers license z endorsement. Now, I have a few questions.
- Why aren't they downloading?
- Why do they have such different numbers for the seed/peer count on the same torrent?
- How come they'll get to different levels before they get stuck? Eg. uTorrent will make it to 12%, Vuze will get to 36%, and QBittorent will get to 64%, but ultimately they all fail before completion.
